Dear UO Food Studies community,
Happy Fall to you!
There are many exciting things afoot in the Food Studies realm:
- important progress on the minor front
- new declarations are coming in for the grad specialization (now in it’s second year)
- our first (Gen Ed satisfying) undergrad FS core course is set for winter 2015 in ENVS
- and we have new faculty and staff joining the FS team.
In general, the energy around FS on campus is still building.
To provide an opportunity for everyone to catch up, please plan to attend a catered Food Studies brunch on Friday, October 31 from 10-noon in Columbia 142. Come hear updates about the exciting developments mentioned above, mingle with other Food Studies folks, and enjoy some coffee, tea, and light midday fare. Drop-bys are fine, and feel free to share this invitation so we can bring new people into the Food Studies community!
